TrueAlert ES Addressable Notification Appliances

Tyco Fire Products learned that, if certain TrueAlert ES Addressable Notification Appliances (including sounders, horns and visual strobes) manufactured on or after January 19, 2021 (for Xenon type Notification Appliances) and on or after August 19, 2021 (for LED type Notification Appliances) but before August 18, 2022 experiences a memory chip issue and becomes non-responsive, one or more additional Notification Appliances manufactured within the above date range  on the same fire alarm system hardwire loop may also become non-responsive, with the result being that those devices may not sound or strobe in the event of an alarm.  Some, but not all, non-responsive Notification Appliances with speakers may then “chirp.”
